Candle Care
-
First Burn Matters
Allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the vessel during the first burn. This creates an even melt pool and helps prevent tunneling.
-
Trim the Wood Wick
Before each burn, Trim your wick, remove charred wood from the previous use. A freshly trimmed wick creates a cleaner, longer-lasting burn.
-
Burn Time
For the best performance, burn your candle for 1–2 hours at a time. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours in a single session.
-
Keep Away from Drafts
Burn your candle on a stable, heat-safe surface away from fans, open windows, children, and pets.
-
Never Leave Unattended
Always extinguish your candle before leaving the room and never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
Reuse Your Vessel
When approximately½ inchof wax remains, discontinue use. Wash the vessel with warm, soapy water and enjoy it as a planter, storage jar, or tealight holder.
F.A.Q.'s
What makes RECVRD Candle Co. candles different?
We don’t just pour candles—we pour purpose. Every RECVRD candle is handcrafted usingupcycled amber beer bottles, giving new life to glass that would otherwise be discarded. That means each candle is one-of-a-kind, sustainable, and eco-conscious from the start.
Why beer bottles?
This part’s personal. I’ve been sober for 10 years and every candle I make is a quiet (or not-so-quiet) celebration of that journey.
By upcycling amber beer bottles, I’m flipping the script: what once held darkness now holds light.
Each RECVRD candle is a symbol of transformation, recovery, and reclaiming power. It’s a reminder that even what’s been discarded can still shine bright—and so can you.
Why do you use amber beer bottles?
Amber glass isn’t just gorgeous—it’s also practical. It helps protect the candle’s oils from UV damage, ensuring your scent stays fresh and strong. Plus, it’s a quiet flex: saving the planet while smelling amazing.
What kind of wax do you use?
We use 100% natural soy wax, which is:
• Clean-burning (no black soot)
• Long-lasting
• Renewable and biodegradable
• Free of paraffin, petroleum, or dyes
Soy burns cooler and slower than other waxes, giving you more hours of cozy vibes.
What’s the deal with wooden wicks?
Our wooden wicks offer a subtle crackle, like a mini fireside moment every time you light up. Bonus points:
• They create a wide, even melt pool
• Produce less soot than cotton wicks
• Are sustainably sourced
Basically, they’re the glow-up your candle shelf didn’t know it needed.
Are your candles clean burning?
Absolutely. Our scent blends are:
• Phthalate-free
• Infused with Essential Oils
• Formulated without carcinogens, mutagens, or reproductive toxins
• Made without ingredients listed on California’s Prop 65 list
Translation? You get luxurious, complex aromas without breathing in any of the nasty stuff.
What kind of scents do you offer?
We’re known for our elevated, intentional blends—think sultry woods, coastal herbs, smoky vanilla, warm citrus. Our goal? To create scents that evoke a feeling, tell a story, or instantly change your mood. No headache-inducing chemicals. Just good energy.
Are your candles handmade?
Yes. Every RECVRD candle is poured by hand in small batches in British Columbia. We’re not into mass production. We’re into craftsmanship, quality, and sustainability.
What is your return or replacement policy?
We do not offer refunds, but I’m happy to replace any candles that arrive damaged or defective. Please contact me with photos and details within 7 days of delivery so I can make it right.
